How to transfer specific eTextbooks you have already downloaded to your iOS Device.


One of the biggest advantages of Bookshelf for iOS is that your books download to the device, so you don’t have to worry about your connection as you turn each page. Bookshelf also makes it easy for you to transfer books that you have already downloaded to your computer to your iOS device.

This requires Bookshelf 5.3.3

Transferring your eTextbooks - Windows

How to Transfer your eBooks (individually) to your iOS device through iTunes (Windows XP/Vista/7)

  • Open iTunes and connect your iOS device to your computer.
  • Once your iOS device syncs click on your iOS device in iTunes, then click on the Apps button at the top of the screen.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Apps window, Click on Bookshelf, so you can see the Bookshelf Documents window.
  • Launch Bookshelf
  • Click on All Titles in the Collections pane.
  • Select the book you want to transfer, Drag the book from Bookshelf to the Bookshelf Documents window in iTunes
  • Repeat for any other books you wish to transfer.

Transferring your eTextbooks - Mac OS X

How to Transfer your eBooks (individually) to your iOS device through iTunes (Mac OS X 10.4 or Greater)

  • Open iTunes and connect your iOS device to your computer.
  • Once your iOS device syncs click on your iOS device in iTunes, then click on the Apps button at the top of the screen.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Apps window, Click on Bookshelf, so you can see the Bookshelf Documents window.
  • Click on All Titles in the Collections pane.
  • Select the book you want to transfer, Drag the book from Bookshelf to the Bookshelf Documents window in iTunes
  • Repeat for any other books you wish to transfer.
