Registering a New Machine

How to Register a New Machine to your Account - Requires and Active Internet Connection
Multiple Machines: VitalSource Bookshelf allows for your to have up to two machines* activated at a time. Bookshelf also has syncing technologies that will ensure your notes and highlights are sync'd in unison between those two computers.

* If you have a Mac and toggle between Mac OS X and Windows using Boot Camp and activate Bookshelf on the Mac and PC partition of your computer this will use up both of your activations.

How to Activate a second machine:
  • Install Bookshelf on the second computer
  • Once Bookshelf has been installed, launch Bookshelf
  • Sign-in with the same email address and password you used when you created your account on your first machine.
  • Click the Sign-In button. Your book list will download and you will be able to download your eTextbooks
In order to make sure your notes and highlights are the same on both computers you must turn on syncing this is done by:
  • Launch Bookshelf
  • Go to preferences Under the Edit Menu (Windows) | Under the Bookshelf Menu (Mac) Click on the Sync tab.
  • Make sure that the syncing check box is checked.
  • Once you log into your second computer, Bookshelf will begin to sync your notes and highlighters.
  • Please note it can take up to 30 minutes for your notes to be sync between both computers.
