VitalSource Bookshelf® is the most advanced e-book software in the world. Notes and highlights automatically stay in sync no matter where you make them.The best-known higher education textbooks, study guides, classics, and more are now available through Bookshelf.

In general VitalSource will support two versions of a Web Browser; the current version and one back. The attached table outlines the status of each browser. Browser support will be reviewed and updated every six months.

Limited Support
All Tablet and Smartphone browsers.
Full Support:Bookshelf Online will display and function properly when viewed with any browser in the Fully Supported column.
Limited Support:Content will appear on the pages; however the UI display and product functionality may be different to the browsers listed under the Fully Supported column.



No Support:The following browsers are not supported. Content may appear on the pages; however the UI display and product functionality may be different to the browsers listed under the Fully Supported column:
  • Microsoft IE 7 or earlier
  • Mozilla Firefox 12 and earlier
  • Apple Safari 4 and earlier
  • Google Chrome 20 and earlier
  • Opera (any version)
  • Any Browser not listed in the Browser Support Matrix

VitalSource has limited mobile support.

iOS users should use Bookshelf for iOS, that is available in the iTunes app store.

Android users should use Bookshelf for Android, that is available in the Google Play store.

Kindle Fire users should use Bookshelf for Kindle Fire, that is available in the Bookshelf for Kindle Fire Download Page.
