Opting Out of Inclusive Access Materials

Your LMS is Open

When your LMS is open all Opt decisions will take place in the Course Dashboard. You can access the Course Dashboard via your institution's Learning Management System (LMS). You can learn more about the Course Dashboard here.

Navigate to your course, then click on the link titled “Course Materials” to launch the Course Dashboard.
Locate the matching Item Card on the Course Dashboard
Click “Want to Opt Out?”.

Want to opt out?

When you elect to opt out of Inclusive Access Materials, you’ll receive a single survey question asking you to tell us the primary reason for opting out. Submitting a response is required. Once a reason is selected, you can confirm your Opt Out.

Your LMS is Not Open

Prior to your LMS opening, you’ll have the ability to Opt In and Out of your Inclusive Access materials via Standalone Launch.

At the start of a new term, you’ll receive a Welcome Email. At the footer of this email you’ll see a list of your course materials for the term and a link to “View your Inclusive Access materials list”.

Clicking this link will open Standalone Launch, where you can view Item Cards for each of your IA Course Materials, as well as Opt In or Out of these materials. Note that you will not be able to access your content via Standalone Launch. You can access your content through your LMS once it opens.

Change Your Opt Preference

Click “View your Inclusive Access materials list” in your Welcome Email.
Locate the matching Item Card on Standalone Launch. Your course materials are organized by course.
Click “Want to Opt Out?”.
