When does VitalSource Helps end?
VitalSource Helps ends in the U.S. on May 25, 2020.
What happens to the books I borrowed?
When VitalSource Helps closes on May 25, you will no longer be able to activate new e-texts from the Explore Tab. Any e-texts you previously activated, however, will remain in your Bookshelf library until the end of the week.
What if I still need those books?
If you are looking for access to digital course materials for Summer or Fall semesters, you should first reach out to your college bookstore. If you are unable to access digital products from your college store, you can check out the VitalSource bookstore at http://www.vitalsource.com.
Can you extend the program into Summer?
We developed VitalSource Helps for students who found themselves suddenly separated from their course materials mid-semester due to campus closures associated with the COVID-19 crisis. The VitalSource Helps program was designed to help students who had purchased content but were suddenly separated from it. The program was made possible by the generosity of a diverse coalition of more than 350 leading content providers.
I’m a professor looking to get digital materials for my students, what do I do?
- Please contact your campus bookstore or our support team.
I’m a campus store director planning for Summer and Fall terms. What do I do?
If you do not have an institution-branded e-commerce site to offer digital course materials, we’ll create a White Labeled Online Bookstore for you.
If you do not have a price comparison site to offer students a way to compare prices and buy books (new/used/rental and digital) from anywhere online, we’ll create this for you.
For maximum impact to the most students, we recommend that your campus create or expand an Inclusive Access program, and put as much digital content in the program as possible, we’ll work with you to get the best pricing on content.

Will my data be used for marketing purposes or sold to third parties?
No. VitalSource does not share user data and all participants of the VitalSource Helps program will automatically be opted-out of marketing initiatives. To learn more, click here to view our privacy FAQs.
What personal data of mine do you collect?
