Installing ClinicalKey Student on Android Devices (without Google Play)
Android 8.0 and later
Tap the download link for the ClinicalKey Student app. Follow the prompts to Install Unknown Apps.
Tap "Settings" on the prompt, then enable the switch next to "Allow from this source" on the following screen. From there, hit your back button twice, then you will be taken to the app installation screen. Tap "Install" and the app will install.
Once the installation process is complete, tap the ClinicalKey Student icon to open the app.
Android 5.0, 5.1,6.0, 7.0, and 7.1
In older versions of Android, you will need to turn on the ability to download apps from unknown sources before you can download the app.
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to Security & Privacy
- Toggle Apps from Unknown Sources to the ON position.
If you can't find the 'Unknown sources' or 'Install Unknown Apps' option, use the search bar at the top of the Settings panel.
Tap the download link for the ClinicalKey Student app.
When presented with the dialog box, "This type of file can harm your device. Do you want to keep it anyway?" Press the Ok button.
Once the installation process is complete, tap the CK Med Ed icon to open the app.
Keeping your app up-to-date
Please note, that you will need to manually install each new version of the eReader.
