Privacy of Minors
Protecting the privacy of minors under the age of 18 (“Minors”) is especially important to VitalSource. For that reason, VitalSource has created certain features designed to prohibit the use or collection of personal information from Minors. Specifically, VitalSource, through its integration partners, utilizes reference accounts in order to create and manage content through Bookshelf accounts. No personal information is used or stored on VitalSource servers in managing these accounts.
Accordingly, any support concerns must be routed through the K-12 institution's administrators.
If VitalSource learns that personal information of Minors has been collected without the appropriate notification or consent, VitalSource will take the appropriate steps to delete such information and prohibit its further collection.
If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has a registered account that provides VitalSource with access to personal information, please alert VitalSource at privacy@vitalsource.com.
