Installing Bookshelf on Windows 10+ computers without Microsoft Store Access

Here’s what you need to do to update your Windows PC to the latest version of Bookshelf.

 

If your Windows PC runs Windows 10 (64-bit) version 10.0.16299 or later, you can update to the latest version of Bookshelf.

Install Bookshelf

Tap the Download Bookshelf Button and then click the Install button.

You will need to sign into Bookshelf to see all of your eTextbooks. If you don’t know the email address you used with VitalSource or the password, we can help.

If you receive an error about missing dependencies, installing the following three items will resolve the issue. Download each of the linked dependencies in this section and double click on each one to install it. Afterward please start the Bookshelf Installation process again.

  3. Microsoft.VCLibs.x64.14.00.Desktop.appx

 

   

If you have two active mobile devices, make sure that you deactivate unused devices so you can update to the latest version of Bookshelf.
